In 1971, the estate was given to the City by Walter S. Johnson and it provides connecting links into Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park. The park is located in the Pleasanton mountains in the south-west of Pleasanton, California, in the area of Bernal Community Park. The park is referred to as Augustin Bernal, a Spanish settler to whom the park is located.

The government display region of the park is accessible through Golden Eagle Farms, a gated community. Residents of Pleasanton may demonstrate evidence of residence at Golden Eagle Way and Foothill Road, and inhabitants of Pleasanton's Parks and Community Services Department can receive a one-week permit. The Community Services Office is situated at 200 Old Bernal Ave., in Pleasanton.

Bernal Community Park is amazingly well known for its two baseball fields. This park also has a playground for the kids and BBQs available for families and parties.

On Saturday, with hundreds at a colourful cerema at the newly named Stanford field, the recent development of the Bernal Community Park, a $16.5 million development adding fresh shaded soccer areas and a great meade and Oak Woodlands. The 510-acre Bernal estate in the town of San Francisco that had held it since the 1930s was acquired from Greenbriar Homes with its associates at US$ 126 million. The building of 530 Bernal houses and flats that were finished and are now occupied by Greenbriar and KB Home was authorized.

Pleasanton electors subsequently endorsed the management scheme of the Bernal Park which leads to the gradual growth of the talented 318-acre estate.

The region of the Oak Woodland contains gravel and decomposed stone walks, paths and boardwalks with shrubs and leafy plants which will ultimately render it a thick place for forest walking, fun and household fun. Recycled rain irrigates all the fresh environment. The green indigenous herbs germinate through hydro-seeding on both Bernal and Valley paths with assistance from latest precipitation. The fresh playground, which, if enabled, is noticeable from I680 and the mountain houses in north and east of downtown Pleasanton, is dominated by high street lamps built in last winter.
