Lake Del Vall is a warehouse tank situated in Alameda County, California, 10 km southwest of Livermore. It's in the Regional Park of Del Valle. It is in the Diablo Range in the Arroyo Valley (Spanish for ' the canyon river '). Del Valle Dam, which was finished in 1968, created the lake.
As portion of the South Bay Aqueduct, the lake and dam form portion of the State Water Project in California. The lake is partly used for the South Bay Aqueduct as off-stream transport. The lake's capability is 77,000 meters (95,000,000 m3) but the flood retention area is between 25,000 and 40,000 meters (31,000,000 and 49,000,000 cubic metres). Thus, 37,000 to 52,000 acres (46,000,000 to 64,000,000 m3) are usually stored. The pond is a famous hiking, biking and boating place. Under the lake, but not connected with it, the Hetch Hetchy Aqueduct runs.
A fishing notice concerning the mercury concentrations of fish trapped in the bodies of water was given by the California Environmental Health Hazard Assessment.
The dam has a height of 230 feet and a length of 270 m. It is 773 metres (236 m) high on its ridge. There are 4,150,000 cubic meters of land filled reservoir (3,170,000 m3).
The Regional Park of Del Valle is located 10 miles (16 km) north of the town of Livermore, a section of the East Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD) of Alameda County, California, a neighboring area. It is 4316 acres in size.
The museum is surrounded mainly by Lake Del Valle, an unnatural lake built by the tiny stream Arroyo Valle in 1968. The lake offers tourists with a range of recreation such as swimming, fishing and biking. In appointed swimming fields there are lifeguards.
In relation to 150 camping locations, the facility also provides 28 miles (about 45.1 km) of walking, riding and biking paths. It is the east porch of the Ohlone Wildlife Trail, leading to the region parks of Sunol and the Mission Peak.
