Highlands Park: The Park Experience

About The Park

9-acre Highlands Park is located next to one of Concord's most historic schools, just off the north side across Pine Hollow Road from Pennsylvania Boulevard and Louisiana Drive. This park has rolling terrain with trees that meander throughout it making for scenic views as well an assortment of children's play areas including two separate toddler zones complete with sandboxes. There are also ball fields where you can sit on the swings overlooking beautiful Lake Minnewaska while awaiting your coffee break during these summer months. If kids get restless after all this time spent outside they'll be happy to know there are two huge playgrounds too, perfect spots. The park is heavily used during the day by residents and also has a small shed that can be rented for different types of events. It's an ideal spot to hold picnics, birthday parties, or even weddings.

Highlands Park has several amenities that make it popular for residents and visitors alike. Here are some:

  • Ballfields

Also, it features a metal structure like a zipline, where they can have fun flying through the air and seeing how high up they can go without getting wet. Another interest is the seesaw which provides an opportunity to take turns safely while sitting on opposite ends. It's great when you need some time away from electronics or just want something slow-paced because all activity happens right here in front of your eyes so no other distractions exist around us either way. User experience also gets better when there are amenities in the vicinity that encourage people to stay longer.

  • Rolling turfed terrain with a variety of trees and meandering paths.

A grass area with benches and a wooden shelter. A large, open expanse of a meadow filled with flowers in the spring is great for picnics and strolling.  Also, it has multiple walking and jogging trails that connect throughout the park.
