There are many different trails to explore with varying levels of difficulty depending on your experience level. Whether you're looking for an easy stroll through the forest or a challenging hike up to one of our many overlooks, Highlands Park is sure to have something that interests you.

About The Park
9-acre Highlands Park is located next to one of Concord's most historic schools, just off the north side across Pine Hollow Road from Pennsylvania Boulevard and Louisiana Drive. This park has rolling terrain with trees that meander throughout it making for scenic views as well an assortment of children's play areas including two separate toddler zones complete with sandboxes. There are also ball fields where you can sit on the swings overlooking beautiful Lake Minnewaska while awaiting your coffee break during these summer months. If kids get restless after all this time spent outside they'll be happy to know there are two huge playgrounds too, perfect spots. The park is heavily used during the day by residents and also has a small shed that can be rented for different types of events. It's an ideal spot to hold picnics, birthday parties, or even weddings.

Ballfields
Ballfields, soccer fields, trails for biking, and hiking are some of the activities that you can enjoy at Highlands Park. The park is open from sunrise to sunset every day throughout the year. Dogs are allowed on a leash up to six feet long in designated areas where dogs are permitted.
Creative play areas for children.
There are two creative play areas for children at Highlands Park. Also, it features a metal structure like a zipline, where they can have fun flying through the air and seeing how high up they can go without getting wet. Another interest is the seesaw which provides an opportunity to take turns safely while sitting on opposite ends. It's great when you need some time away from electronics or just want something slow-paced because all activity happens right here in front of your eyes so no other distractions exist around us either way. User experience also gets better when there are amenities in the vicinity that encourage people to stay longer.

A grass area with benches and a wooden shelter. A large, open expanse of a meadow filled with flowers in the spring is great for picnics and strolling. Also, it has multiple walking and jogging trails that connect throughout the park.

Highlands Park has several picnic tables available by reservation only which must be made no later than two weeks before your visit date. You may bring your food or purchase it before coming into the parking area.
