The Alviso Adobe Community Park of Pleasanton is a special location that tells California's history since the earliest times. This restored interpretive park shows the history of the Amador Valley, offered a rare insight into the past – from its origins in the native Americans to the days when the Spanish ranchos operated cattle herds on the original Rancho Santa Rita 12 000 acres, during an era of common milk industry from the first to middle of the 20th century and eventually as a community park.
